Subject: National Reform of Semana Santa and Economic Liberation Week
Effective Immediately
In the interest of restoring national productivity, economic growth, and individual liberty, I, Future DR President Candidate, President of the Dominican Republic, hereby issue the following:
Article 1 – Reform of Semana Santa
- Semana Santa shall no longer require nationwide shutdowns of public and private sectors.
- Beaches, highways, and public spaces shall remain open under safety regulations — not blanket closures.
- Alcohol sales and transportation bans during Holy Week are hereby revoked. Responsible freedom is the standard.
Article 2 – Establishment of Economic Liberation Week
- The former Semana Santa period will now include:
- National Entrepreneurship Showcases
- Tax-Free Business Days
- Local Vendor Celebrations
- Citizens may choose to observe religious traditions voluntarily, but the state will no longer mandate inactivity.
Article 3 – Modern Governance Initiative
- All ministries and public offices must remain operational during Economic Liberation Week.
- Government services shall be accessible to all citizens during this time, with flexible scheduling permitted.
- Media campaigns will inform the public of the new policy, with focus on freedom, opportunity, and innovation.
Let this decree serve as the first step in returning power to the people, rebuilding the economy, and creating a nation that respects both tradition and forward momentum.
